FAQ’s
Where are you based and what are your business hours?
I am based in east London, Hackney atm. As I don't accept walk-ins, the address to the studio will be provided once your booking is completed.
I work Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the very rare occasional Saturday. Depending on the size of your tattoo, appointments usually start from earliest10:30am, and from 4pm the very latest. Large projects can only be started before 1pm.
How long/late your appointment runs is entirely depending on the size and complexity of your tattoo.
What if I feel very anxious about getting tattooed?
Feeling nervous is perfectly normal.
Even after nearly 100 tattoos, I still get butterflies before each session—it’s part of the experience. Tattooing is a personal change to your body by someone you may not have met before, so it’s completely valid to feel anxious.
Here’s my promise to you:
Arrive at your own pace. Take a moment to breathe and settle in.
Let’s chat. I have hot drinks like coffee and all sorts of tea waiting for you. We’ll sit down, talk through your ideas and any concerns you have.
We’ll go step by step. No rush—every stage happens only when you’re ready.
My goal is to create a calm, supportive space where you feel safe, heard, and in control from start to finish.
What does freehand mean?
I work freehand—drawing your tattoo design directly onto your skin.
Around 90% of my work is created this way. It means that before we begin, both you and I will only have an abstract idea of the final tattoo. If you choose a freehand piece, it requires a little trust—trust in the process, and trust that I’ll guide it with experience and care. I love working this way because it allows the design to truly belong to your body. It lets me create something that flows naturally with your shape, so the placement and composition feel organic, harmonious, and beautifully individual.
Is it true that tattoos don't work as well on darker skin tones?
No — tattoos absolutely do work beautifully on melanated skin! While deeper skin tones mean the tattoo artist needs to use more contrast, clearer lines, and less soft shading to make the design stand out, it’s totally possible to get vibrant, stunning tattoos. Healing looks a little different, too: early redness and irritation can be less visible on darker skin, so fresh tattoos may seem less vibrant at first, but they show beautifully once healed.
Melanated skin can be very sensitive and may be more prone to swelling or scarring (like keloids), so I always discuss your skin’s needs carefully to ensure the best care. Every tattoo I do is designed specifically for your skin tone and style to create the best possible result.
You’re more than welcome to get tattooed here, I can't wait! And I’m experienced with all skin types to make sure your experience is safe, comfortable, and amazing.
Can I get tattooed if I am under 18?
I’m afraid that’s a firm no — I do not tattoo anyone under 18.
This is not only a legal requirement, but also something I feel strongly about on a personal level. Even with parental consent or supervision, it is against the law for anyone under the age of 18 to get a tattoo in the UK.
To stay within these legal and ethical boundaries, I kindly ask that you bring a valid form of ID (such as a passport or driver’s license) to your appointment. Thank you so much for understanding.
Do you do portraits of loved ones or pets?
Yes, absolutely — I love doing portrait tattoos.
The only important condition is that I’ll need a really high-quality photograph of the person/pet you’d like tattooed. Most phone photos tend to be softly lit, taken at off angles, or slightly blurry — and for a portrait tattoo to turn out beautifully, the stencil must start from a crisp, clear, well-lit image.
If you’re unsure whether your photo will work, feel free to send it to me in advance and I’ll happily take a look.
What if you draw the design on me and I don’t like it. Can I say something?
Absolutely — your input is not just welcome, it’s essential.
One of the reasons I love working freehand is because it allows for flexibility and easy adjustments on the spot. While I do value artistic freedom, the most important person in this process is you. My goal is always for you to leave feeling happy and confident with your tattoo. So please don’t hesitate to speak up — it’s a collaboration, and your voice matters every step of the way.
Are there any things in particular that you enjoy tattooing?
I go through little phases of obsession — sometimes it’s birds, sometimes it’s peonies — but truthfully, I love a wide range of ideas.
As long as it’s something that works within my style, I’m always excited to explore new things. I even enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone now and then! So if you’re unsure whether your idea is a good fit, please feel free to send it over. If it’s something I can do, I’ll be genuinely happy to help.
Can I request a consultation?
Once I’ve received your booking form, you’ll receive an email consultation.
I don’t offer face-to-face consultations, but I promise we’ll cover everything you need to feel informed, comfortable, and excited before your appointment.
I’m unsure if my body shape/size suits a tattoo?
Absolutely, yes. If you’re even asking this question, it likely means you need a tattoo — not just want one. Speaking as someone on the curvier side myself, I understand the insecurities and the outside comments that can make you hesitate. But let me say this clearly: your body is worthy of art. Your curves, lines, and stretch marks are all part of what make you you, and beautiful.
Whether you want a tattoo to reclaim your body, to celebrate it, to express something meaningful, or simply for fun — you deserve it. Always.
P.S. Yes, you can tattoo over stretch marks — even deep ones — no problem at all.
What should I bring to my appointment?
No matter how long your appointment is, please wear something comfy and stretchy.
Bring snacks that include carbs and sugar — both are important to keep your energy up. If you’re booked for a full or long-day session, pack yourself a proper lunch (like a sandwich, pasta salad etc) and extra snacks. We don't have a microwave but we do have a fridge where you can store your food. The drink you bring should contain real sugar — so skip the Diet Coke or sugar-free sports drinks, and go for something like Fanta or Coke, or ideally a healthy delicious orange juice.
If your tattoo is going on your upper thigh, bum, or bikini area, please pack a pair of loose shorts to change into, or bikini bottoms which can be tied on the side.
I also recommend bringing a hoody or sweater and warm socks — it’s very common to start feeling cold after being in pain for a while.
No need to bring any of the aftercare products I'll have advised you to buy in advance with you — I’ll make sure you’re all set when you leave. The products will only come into action the following day.
Pricing and deposit?
I require a £100 deposit to secure your booking. This will be deducted from your final price after the tattoo is done, or after the last session if what you're getting is a multisession piece.
For all tattoo pricing pelase head to the Tattoos section on this website, where my pricing is explained in more detail .
Are the Ink and products you use vegan?
All high quality tattoo ink, especially black ink, has zero animal products and is not ever tested on animals. Other than that I use products on the skin like alcohol for cleaning, Vaseline (petroleum jelly), witch hazel spray (anti inflammatory)
Can I bring my book or iPad to my appointment?
Please do! I am super easy, as long as what you do doesn't interfere with the tattooing, and doesn't distract me. If you for example bring you iPad and want to watch a show or movie, just make sure you bring headphones and don't watch anything too funny, so you can sit still :) you can read your book, listen to your own music or mine, we can chat or be silent. Whatever works for you! Sometimes there will be moments when I have to hyper focus and not talk, but I will let you know when this is the case. Same accounts for you, if you feel better being quiet and relaxing please just let me know and I promise I will never be offended.
Do I have to get undressed for my tattoo?
In 90% of cases, no. I will always do my best to only have to expose the area of your skin that is being tattooed. However, when a tattoo is done on the buttock area, around the breasts/chest, upper thigh/bikini area, or your back, there is no way around having to undress that part. I will advice you on what type of clothes to wear or bring in order to feel comfortable, and the studio is very private and never busy and full of people.
Does the studio have wheelchair/disabled access?
Yes, our studio is wheelchair accessible.
If you’re a wheelchair user, please feel free to email me ahead of your appointment. I’ll guide you through the easiest and most comfortable way to enter the building on the day — I want to make sure everything goes smoothly for you from the very beginning.
The studio itself is quite small, but it has worked well so far for my clients who use wheelchairs. We have an accessible bathroom, and standard-size wheelchairs fit through the entrance. For those using custom or extra-wide wheelchairs, one wheel may need to be temporarily removed to enter — I’m truly sorry for this added step and will do everything I can to assist and make it as easy as possible.
Do you do coverups?
I sure do! I have an entire section on my coverup work, which you can find here
My English is not good, how do I explain my idea?
My customers come from all over the world, and I love it! I speak English, Spanish, German and Russian. For anything else, we have Google translate! Don't worry and don't be shy, send your email in whatever way is comfortable for you, and we'll find a way to understand eachother.
