Art commissions
I offer art commissions of various sizes and mediums. Please contact me if what you had in mind is not in the options, and we can have a consultation.
Art work can’t be rushed and needs to be commissioned with patience in mind. I do what I do with love, and I want every piece to be unique and special. And for that to be the outcome, I need to be able to do it my way and my pace.
Please always remember that when you commission an artist, you’re commissioning their style and imagination. therefore it is crucial for us to have artistic freedom.
When you send me your description of what you would like, imagine you’re describing a vision/idea to someone who really wants to know how you’re feeling about it all. Maybe a little back story, maybe a bit about your relationship to the subject.
Then I need to know what size you had in mind, what material and of course your budget. My drawings are sort of charged like tattoos. The more complex, larger and difficult the piece, the higher the price range.
Both the mediums I offer take time for their own reasons. Pencil drawings because of the layering and slow build up, and marker drawings because of the endless amount of detail.
Smaller, simpler pencil drawings in A5 for example take me 4-10 hours, however the large marker A2 floral explosions take me over 40 hours to complete. Just to give you an idea.
An A2 pencil drawing can take me anywhere between 40 and 100 hours. This means that if you are planning this commission as a gift, make sure you plan in the wait time of weeks for the smaller works, and months for large projects please. Something done in pencil in a size like A2 or A1 can take me up to 12 months to complete. Like I said, it can't be rushed, and I tattoo as my main job. I'm putting a lot of emphasis on this, because I rather do less commissions than do rushed ones. And I hope you would rather receive art work that you know I've put all the attention and time into making 🤍
Your commission can be portraits of a loved person or pet, it can be entirely fantasy/imagination, or it can be a combination of the two, which I personally find very lovely. Of course also botanicals, meaning floral compositions etc, and I love drawing sea life and other animals. If you’re unsure about anything, send me an email, and I will advise you.
If the idea/vision you have doesn't spark my inspiration and doesn't sound right for me, I will of course not take your money. In that case I will suggest an alternative, and if we can't find a way to work together I will recommend another artist if one comes to mind.
If you are based in London, it is always safest to pick your artwork up in person. If you need your art posted, this will be calculated and charged before I send it. The bigger the art work, the more I of course recommend using a form of delivery that has insurance, and I will make sure I package it like a national treasure, just in case.
The furthest I have shipped commissions to so far have been NY, Sydney and Taipei, and they've arrived well and safe using UPS and FedEx.
Please note that I do not frame the artwork for my customers, because 1. Postage would become even more complicated and 2. I believe frames are such a part of one's home interior design, I would not want to make this decision for you.
If there are any questions I have left unanswered, please contact me any time.
Thanks!
