Aftercare advice & products

The golden rule of successful tattoo healing is 'less is more'. Please buy these things prior to your appointment, and follow the steps:

- Kitchen roll ('Plenty' is the best brand)
- Sanex 0% shower gel for sensitive skin
- Aquaphor 'Healing skin balm' (the brand is called Eucerin, and you can buy the balm at boots or Amazon)

After your tattoo has been done, you will need to wash it gently with your Sanex, carefully pat it dry with the kitchen roll, and apply the tiniest amount of Aquaphor. Whenever you're unsure about how much balm to use, just think it's better to under cream than to over cream, and your tattoo should be just one little step away from being dry. Repeat this at least once a day for the first week, ideally for 2 weeks. Wear soft cotton clothing, and remember to never expose it to sun or salt/chlorine water while healing, and never pick or scratch. As long as your tattoo is clean at all times, and doesn't get in contact with irritants (e.g.: polyester, other rough fabrics, shower gel containing perfume or alcohol, animal hair etc) it should heal in no time.
I will explain everything again in detail at your appointment, and in case you forget you can always come back to my website to check. Happy healing!
